insta-recap: sweet little moments
This weekend was a sweet one.
On Saturday, Eric and I ventured into the world of Crate & Barrel--I think I could live there forever--to find beautiful little props for my jewelry. (this Tuesday, Megan from Beautiful Moments is coming to visit me and we're going to spend the day taking photos!)
I woke up on Sunday and didn't feel great. I was sluggish and lazy, and instead of going to church, E and I ate muffins and basked in the bright morning light and talked about our future together.
It's strange to think that I have to go back soon. Back to school. I know it's my last semester and I know it will go fast, but this long summer has been a nice, much-needed break. From the confines that limit my creativity. For a lot of people, college may be a place to grow and become inspired--but I find that I do the most growing and find the most inspiration outside the classroom and environment of college.
And even in these few short months, I feel as though I'm a new person again. Like I said a few days ago, I feel older. Maybe living with someone does that to you. Needless to say, E and I are both not looking forward to the long-distance thing again--but what lies beyond it is so beautiful.
There's so much to look forward to. In the next few years, we really hope to travel to France, to take a cruise, to finish graduate school and to move again. Somewhere new--and definitely less humid. I told E I think we're destined to live near San Francisco, at least for awhile, but it will be fun to see where God leads us in the future.
And where He's leading us now. There is so much promise, so much to hope for, and so much to be thankful for right now, in this very moment. Although this summer is moving along too fast for my liking, it has been full of marvelous growth and wonderful experiences. We've learned so much individually and as a couple, and the next 6 weeks I have left in Tampa, I intend to make memorable as well.
How has this summer been treating you?
