snowflakes for sandy hook

yesterday erica over at caught on a whim (lovely blog, check it out!) posted that Sandy Hook Elementary School is looking for paper snowflake donations so that students and teachers will be welcomed back by a winter wonderland after the holidays.

we spent the entire afternoon cutting out intricate snowflakes. it was so much fun and gave us such a good feeling knowing the children will soon receive them. we signed our initials with words of love on a few of them.

this is a great, easy way to help the community and give them a bit of hope and encouragement. please, spread the word, gather your friends and send a whole big bunch! :)
maybe the whole town will be full of heartfelt snowflakes by the January 12th deadline!
if you'd like to participate, send your snowflakes by January 12th to:
Connecticut PTSA
60 Connolly Parkway
Building 12, Suite 103
Hamden, CT 06514

and for more information, go here.
thank you!
