7 questions: back to school edition

during my weekly read of gentri lee's amazing blog, i saw that she was hosting a 7 questions session--so i figured i'd join in on the fun :)

1. It's back to school time! Are YOU going back to school?
>>>unfortunately, yes. i'm such a whiner, i know! most people would kill to be back in school, but i'm just really ready to be planning weddings and designing spaces and writing away all day :) i'll be finishing up my last year (and a half) of school at Flagler College, which is actually gorgeous and five minutes from the beach so i really can't complain. next december i'll finally have a degree in English. here's a photo of my school (jealous yet?):
i have it bad, don't i?

2. Speaking of school...You receive 10 pts if you can name this movie:
"Don't you love New York in the fall? It makes me wanna buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address. On the other hand, this not knowing has its charms."
>>>You've Got Mail. hah! such a great movie.

3. Who did you hang out with in school?
>>>hmm, a mix of kids i guess. i was definitely far from being in the jock or popular crowd though, that's for sure haha. but i get along with anyone!

4. What was your favorite subject in school?
>>>English, of course. my nose was always in a book. oh! and that random interior design class i took in 8th grade. and then in 9th grade i ended up taking three art classes at once--was i crazy? maybe a little too ambitious (my drawing skills never improved). too bad i didn't figure out my passion sooner--maybe i would have gone to art and design school!

5. If you had to go back and redo one of the following, which would you choose and why? Preschool, Elementary, Middle School, High School, College?
>>>that's a tough one. elementary was an awkward stage of life; i was really shy and nervous, so maybe i'd go back and hopefully try to be more outgoing and social. i remember one boy asking me why i never talked and i just looked at him and went back to reading my book! oh, why do we do the things we do....

6. Packed Lunch or School Lunch?
>>>packed, always. my mamma always gave me yummy food and none of the junk the cafeteria offered, ickk. although i do remember bringing money to buy the occasional cosmic brownie....

7. What's more exciting? The first day of school or the last day of school?
>>>ahhh, i dreaded the first day! i was so shy and first days made me anxious--the last day was definitely exciting. i loveee summer so the last day i was always happy, knowing i could go home and run around in the sunshine and swim and eat popsicles forever :) summers always seemed to last that long, didn't they?

well, i hope you've enjoyed reading! this was so much fun, thanks gentri, for hosting! :)
